A GIFT of PRAYERS – PUJA SPONSORSHIP
In aid of SERA JE DRATI KHANTSEN
What is Puja?
Puja is a religious ceremony in which prayers and many offerings are offered to the holy Gurus and Triple Gem to request their bleesings and request their help.
The main purpose of Pujas are to avert and clear worldly obstacles which affect our day-to-day life, business, finances & relationships, inner obstacles which affect our health or well being, secret obstacles which obstruct the attainment of innate wisdom and everlasting happiness.
Pujas are also performed for the dying to help pacify their mind and for the deceased to bless and guide their mind to a higher state of rebirth, liberation and enlightenment.
By making extensive prayers and offerings with sincere motivation, unfavourable circumstances & problems can be changed. It is said that prayers performed by ordained ones are especially powerful and effective as they are done on the base of pure morality.
Similarly making offering to the assembly sangha during puja collect extensive merit and purifies obstacles.
PUJAS ARE PERFORMED:
- For success – removing dharma & worldly obstacles
- For sickness – removing obstacles to mental & physical health, and for fast recovery from illness
- For the deceased – to purify their minds, guide them to higher rebirth and liberation
- For the dying – help to calm, pacify their mind and decreased fear during the time of death
After a meritorious month long celebration of the marking of Saka Dawa festival, we now have another opportunity to participate to create extraordinary virtues, collect extensive merits and to clear away obstacle for success in ones endavour by sponsoring Pujas in aid of the construction funds for the new Prayer Hall in Sera Je Drati Khantsen.
Now the pujas can be performed in Kuala Lumpur by an entourage of 9 monks from Sera Je Drati Khantsen. With the present of Ven. Tengyur Rinpoche himself, who is the head of Drati Khantsen, 3 others top Geshe Lharampa Degree holders, 3 Geshe Tsogrampas and among them 4 are trantic geshe graduate from Gyudmed Trantic College. All of the monks are not only qualified in the topic of Buddha Dharma but also are very well qualified in all types of rituals, divination (Mo) and astrology.
